Good dental health begins with thorough exams and an initial conversation with your dentist.
We want to learn about you and the questions you have about your oral health: What are your goals, hopes and expectations? How do you feel about your smile? What are your plans for the future? How does your dental health fit into the context of everything else in your life?
We then move into the exam room to perform a detailed examination of your teeth and gums, photograph your teeth, andtake appropriate x-rays. What happens next depends on your goals and the condition of your teeth. We share what we have discovered and mutually agree how to move forward.
- If everything is healthy and you need a regular cleaning, we get that scheduled right away.
- If you need some urgent dental work, we may schedule that before the cleaning.
- If you have gum disease, we may schedule treatment that includes extra attention to your roots and gums.
- If you are interested in improving your overall smile, we schedule a follow-up to discuss available options.
